Her father was the deluded and cruel leader of a cult based in South London who brainwashed those around him. Her father's paranoia and his need to completely control others led to Katy being imprisoned indoors and denied any kind of love or friendship.

Katy Morgan-Davies now lives in Leeds and attends college, studying English and Maths. Every day, in every small way, she relishes her freedom. She hopes that in sharing her story she will inspire others to speak out about the oppression they suffer. Her ambition for the future is to help people, and to stop anyone from feeling as sad and lonely as she did for so many years.
