Zusammenfassung

First published in 1998, this author illustrates clearly how, on the threshold of the new millennium, the world is entering a post-economic era. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of modern socio-economic trends, the author brings forward a new paradigm for understanding contemporary economic processes that change the substance of our civilization.

'The Constitution of the Post-Economic State is one of our first opportunities to learn how one of the new voices from Russia views the evolution of social, economic and political life in what he calls the post-economic age.' Marshall I. Goldman, Harvard University, USA '...comprehensive and exhaustive. Agree or disagree with the argument...one is impressed with the range and breadth of the reading, so one has to take this work into consideration in any discussion of the future of our socio-economic systems.' Daniel Bell, Henry Ford II Professor of Social Sciences, Emeritus, Harvard University, USA 'Studies the development of previous theories of historical progress and discusses how they advance efforts to understand the future...Explains the meaning of post economic society...' Journal of Economic Literature
