The author, Zoya is a graduate of Masters of Primary Teaching and is a full time teacher by day but has always had a passion for creative writing as long as she can remember. She has written blogs and some articles for magazines in the past and now has written her debut book of 'Old Soul Wild Heart' which is a book consisting of poetry and prose. The writing in the book is based on the authors everyday experiences and observations of day to day living encompassing a range of emotions and musings of being a woman, of love, loss and navigating through the ups and downs of life. Zoya has a passion for speaking out about mental health, racism, being a woman of colour, feminism and feeling life and expressing emotions through a deeper lens. Through her writing she wants people to feel heard, less lonely, and to be able to have compassion and empathy for themselves and towards others. She wishes to continue her journey and her love with writing by speaking about things that are significant to her that she is passionate about, that readers can relate and empathise with through her writing of modern poetry an prose. She hopes to continue reaching people via her writing and raising awareness for important issues.
