Writer and journalist Tonja Castaneda lives with her husband and two children in Thornton. The images showcased in this collection were provided by current community members, the City of Thornton archives, Thornton's police and fire department leaders, local churches, and families who farmed the area for generations before it became a town. Many of the images have never before been published.
