Chis S. Bond has written Joy & Balance to express his emotions and the art of poetry.

Joy & Balance is a compilation of original poems and writings. It showcases both the breadth and depth of insight and introspective of a young, budding, and emerging writer. The book is designed to make you think and question how you view things. His hope is that this book of poetry will give others a sense of Joy and Balance in today's world.

Chris S. Bond was born in 2006 on the West Central Coast of the United States of America and grew up on the East Coast of the U.S. because of his family's military affiliation. This experience has made him well-rounded.

Coming from humble beginnings, Chris's life, like most teenagers, has had several highs and lows. He has weathered many storms and challenges in life at a young age; the life-changing event of having a parent needing emergency open heart surgery while, at the same time, his other parent was deployed on active military duty was a challenge. Chris had to fly in airplanes alone at age five, rendering family support. The amazing part of Chris's life thus far is he's just a kid. However, he carries himself a few years older. Most of his childhood was spent moving from place to place while a U.S. Army dependent. His love for writing is truly a gift still being developed today. Chris's life is the epitome of "it takes a village," as he has been blessed to have grandparents, uncles, aunts, and others who stepped in on Chris's behalf when necessary. Chris personally knows and lives diversity and equality every day, coming from a myriad of racial backgrounds, which are white, black, Hispanic, Indian, and European. Chris's roots run deep, and he's beginning to know and understand them today. His inspiration for writing is expressing genuine emotion to the reader. As he begins his writing journey, we hope that you enjoy being part of it.
