Ryan Craig is a British playwright, screen, television and radio writer whose plays usually involve both ethical and social matters. He is best known for his plays What We Did To Weinstein (Menier Chocolate Factory, London, 2005) which earned him a Most Promising Playwright Nomination at the Evening Standard Awards; The Glass Room (Hampstead Theatre, 2006), which deals with Holocaust denial; the English version of Tadeusz Slobodzianek's Our Class (2009), The Holy Rosenbergs (2011), both at the National Theatre and the semi-autobiographical Filthy Business (2017, Hampstead Theatre, London). Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 - 21 January 1950), better known by his pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist and journalist, whose most famous works include the novella Animal Farm, and the classic dystopia 1984. |
