Ian Hughes is a survivor, a scholar, and a storyteller.

Born and raised in Scotland, Ian lived through the very system he now writes about with unflinching honesty. His debut memoir, Storm Child, sheds light on the forgotten lives of children in care before vital reforms shaped the system we know today. With a Master's degree in Health and Social Policy, Ian brings both lived experience and academic insight to his writing.
