The world is indebted to Lord Sri Krishna, who prophesied The Gīta, to Arjuna, who is only an instrumental being, to sage Vyasa who handed its essence over to the mankind, to Lord Ganesh who wrote it, to 'Sanjaya' who propagated it, at the out set, to the austere beings who preserved it for ages, without being decayed, recorded in the 'talapatra', to the interpreters who explain it, in unfolding its minute concepts and analysing them to the Gita pracharaks, who make it reach every household.
Their debt can be repaid only by reading the Gīta, with devotion and zeal and by practising its concepts in toto, with enthusiasm, by us.
The Gīta, which is 'Kalpavriksha' , the immortal tree in heaven. It was seeded by the Lord Himself, and reared by 'VedaVyasa'. The scriptures are its seeds. The preaching of the self is its sprout. Its branches are the secrets of various sastras. Renunciation, tolerance and such virtues are its tender leaves. The fragrance of its flowers is the devotion for his sacred feet. It is the imparter of liberation to the learned.
Yogi Tata Ravikanth is a Chartered Account by profession. His native place is peruru, near Amalapuram. His parents are late Sri Satyanarayana Murthy and Smt Balatrhipura Sundari. Ravikanth was born in Kakinada. He considers his mother as Goddess Parvathi. She is everything to him. His "God of the clan" is Lord Suryanarayana.
He worships Goddess Saraswathi. He got hold of Omkara Meditation, in the process of self-realisation. His aim is aligning the attributes of Omkara with modern science. He advocates that 'Pranava' is the Brahman or the supersoul itself, as per the Upanishads. In this book, he wrote about the all-pervasive nature of The Almighty, and the secrets of philosophy, in a simple language and style. It is not an exaggeration to say that Sri Ravikanth is the yogi of the decade, who asserted the form of "Omkara"!
