In 1982, Markos Simotas -a young, bohemian lawyer, son of a hero of the Resistance who was executed- is appointed, by Andreas Papandreou himself, governor of the island Agios*. He goes to this colony with the one and only ambition to spend three carefree years. But he falls in love and feels deeply committed to the island. Thirty years later, his son traces his life, trying to clarify the mystery of a missing child.
