Established in 1954, Relais & Châteaux is an association of the world's finest hoteliers, chefs, and restauranteurs that has set the standard for excellence in hospitality. Today there are 518 members worldwide (85 of whom are located in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and Caribbean). The North America group is headquartered in New York City. Jessica Kerwin Jenkins is a contributing writer to such publications as Vogue, W, and The New York Times. She is also the author of Encyclopedia of the Exquisite: An Anecdotal History of Elegant Delights and All the Time in the World: A Book of Hours. Patrick O'Connell is the owner and legendary chef of the five-star Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia. He is also the president of Relais & Châteaux North America.
