Tyra M. Banks is Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in the Programs in Occupational Therapy at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, and Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at CUMC. She has presented nationally and internationally on anti-racist pedagogy and lives in New York. Khalilah R. Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She is also the owner and operator of Slaying Academia, LLC and co-host of the Dr. thOTs Podcast. Dr. Johnson is an internationally recognized scholar with a funded program of research and a strong publication record focused on anti-racism, race equity in health services research, and critical participatory action research with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
