A medieval adventure following intrepid wanderers, filled with reflections on the world and the harsh realities of life, alchemy, and more. The depiction of Cáldar's precarious laboratory-and its mysterious beer, or whatever that mystical concoction was-is absolutely fantastic!
Raphael has created a rich, complete universe, which can be seen as two distinct "galaxies":
- On one side, the philosophical and prophetic content, including teachings and the application of Stoicism in minds like Gerian's.
- On the other, the underworld of the monastery.
Both galaxies form an inseparable whole, with characters masterfully crafted by the author. They feel close and real to the reader, yet the communion between their thoughts and feelings never feels forced.
