Arthur Mason is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Social Anthropology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. He is a political anthropologist specializing in energy security, ecological vulnerability, and cultural heritage in the Arctic. He is the author of Energy Capitol: The Waning of Regulatory Form (Routledge, 2024), Consulting Energy: From Judgement to Decision-Making (Routledge, 2025), and Energy Images: Aesthetics of Resemblance and Form (Routledge, 2026). He is also the editor of Arctic Abstractive Industry: Assembling the Valuable and Vulnerable North (2022) and co-editor of Subterranean Estates: Life Worlds of Oil and Gas (2015).
