Sheila Herrera played the violin as a child and always followed the beat of her own drum. A native-born Texan, Sheila is proud of her Mexican-American heritage. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a degree in special education, specializing in children with learning differences. Today, Sheila lives in Stuart, Florida, where she writes children's books and helps other writers on their literary journey.
