Zusammenfassung

Are you tired of hiring "great on paper" employees who quietly drain your culture-and your energy? Do you feel exhausted by constant turnover, tense conversations, and the nagging sense that no matter how hard you work, your team just isn't working with you? Business owner and consultant Dana DeVito brings more than twenty years of hard-earned experience to this problem. After owning multiple companies and spending over a decade advising businesses across industries, Dana knows firsthand what it's like to feel desperate for change-and what it takes to finally create it. Through years of trial, failure, and eventual breakthrough, Dana developed a people-centered framework that transformed struggling teams into healthy, profitable ones. Now Hiring reveals the exact systems behind a 90% hiring success rate after just one interview, near-total elimination of surprise departures, and sustainable growth in businesses that had never experienced it before. In this book, you'll discover a radically different approach to leadership-one that proves culture always overrides skill and that relationships are the true engine of every successful business. With real stories, clear explanations, and practical tools, Now Hiring shows you how to reduce friction, restore clarity, and lead with confidence. In this book, you'll learn:How to create a "Wanted Poster" that helps you hire the right person the first time Why focusing on culture-not skill-dramatically lowers turnover How to identify exactly where friction in your company is coming from The system for categorizing your team into Partners, Projects, and Problems How to empower Partners, develop Projects, and kindly remove Problems Why clear, informed relationships are the key to sustainable growth You don't have to keep guessing, reacting, or putting out fires. Within the frameworks found in Now Hiring, communication becomes clearer, teams grow stronger, and leadership finally feels manageable again. Your business can become a place where people thrive-and where growth is profitable, not painful. If you're ready for honest guidance, compassionate leadership tools, and a hopeful path forward, it's time to read Now Hiring. Buy Now Hiring today and discover how removing the right friction can change everything.

Dana is a partner at Elite Performance Associates and also continues to own and operate a pair of Scooter's Coffee franchises. (He knows the value of having skin in the game.) As a leadership consultant and business coach, Dana works primarily with owner-operators, small business leaders, and entrepreneurs who are building something real and need a trusted advisor in the room who has actually run one. His specialty is turning high-potential organizations into high-performance ones by fixing the people problems that quietly drain profit, culture, and momentum. The frameworks inside this book weren't built in a classroom. They were built inside real businesses, through real hiring mistakes, difficult conversations, and the hard-won clarity that comes from watching both amazing teams and quiet dysfunctional ones operate up close. Dana's own entrepreneurial journey, including a few failed businesses in his misspent youth that taught him what bad systems and plans look like and a franchise that taught him what a good one does, gave him a boots-on-the-ground understanding of what actually determines whether a business grows or struggles. The answer, almost every time, is people. He lives in Prescott, Arizona, with his beautiful wife Anna and his 1 1/2 dogs (an amazing American Bully named Stella and an ancient "going-to-outlive-us-all" Lhasa Apso named Shadow). Recently entering into a new phase of empty nesting (their two kids are both out of state and in college), he's tried to fill his time with all sorts of goofy hobbies including mountain biking, coaching high school track and field, playing pickleball, and even attempting to learn how to perform card magic. All of which he's pretty lousy at but still enjoys.
